When not working towards an exhibition, I will take on commissions. I like to work closely with you to understand the subject matter, this informs the work and gives the final artwork a more personal touch.  When working on portrait commissions I prefer to meet people so I can sketch some initial ideas and take my own reference photos, but I can also work entirely from high resolution reference photos that have good lighting. For landscape commissions I will visit the location when practical but tend to use reference shots.

Pricing for commissions vary depending on the size of the canvas and complexity of the piece, but as a general guide I charge as follows:

36” x 36” canvas - £1800 + shipping

24” x 24” canvas - £900 + shipping

12” x 12” canvas - £650 + shipping

All prices include varnishing, but do not include framing or shipping. I can provide framing at an additional cost if required.

Commissions can take around 2 to 3 months depending on the complexity and paint medium but shorter time scales can be achieved - please feel free to reach out to discuss.
